Bente has a Graduation in Law from the University of Oslo in 1983 and a Diploma in Professional Marine Insurance. From 1984 through 1998 she was a Marine Underwriter with Samvirke, Polaris and Storebrand. Since 1998 she has been a broker with Polaris and EMS Insurance Brokers, which was acquired by NorthEdge AS in 2010. Bente is now a consultant to NorthEdge AS.
