Martin graduated in law at Hamburg University in 1998 and qualified as a lawyer near Hamburg. In 1999 Martin entered the marine insurance industry through the legal department of a German shipping line. In 2002 he joined a German marine insurance brokers with a focus on P&I claim handling. 10 years later Martin joined the newly formed Edge Germany as Head of the P&I Claims Department.
