Sami has extensive experience from both the broking and underwriting side of the marine insurance industry, and comes to Lockton from a position as Senior Underwriter of Baltic insurer Alandia. Previously he has held marine insurance positions as Marine Practise Leader Finland for AON, and as Marine Underwriter for Gard. All together he has 20 years experience from the marine industry.

Sami holds a M. Sc in Security and Strategic Analysis from the University of Jyväskylä, an ACII from the Chartered Insurance Institute and a M. Sc (Econ) from the Helsinki School of Economics.. He is a Chartered Insurance Broker and holds Finnish Insurance Broker's Qualification (non-life).
